Select-Drive ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by Select-Drive LLC. We operate the website at select-drive.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to that information. We take your privacy seriously and do not sell your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Contact form submissions: Your name, email address, phone number, vehicle details (make, model, year), pickup and destination locations, preferred timing, and any other details you include in your message.
  • Payment information: When you make a deposit or payment through Stripe, we receive your card's last four digits, card type, and billing address. We do not receive or store your full credit card number.
  • AI chat conversations: Messages you send to our AI assistant (Birdie) are collected to provide you with service information and quotes.
  • Email address: Your email address is stored in our customer relationship management (CRM) system for service communication and follow-up.
  • Cookies and analytics data: See Section 3 below.

2. How We Collect Information

Netlify Forms. This website uses Netlify Forms to process contact and quote request submissions. When you submit a form, your information is transmitted to and stored by Netlify on our behalf. Netlify's data practices are governed by the Netlify Privacy Policy.

Stripe Checkout. When you make a deposit or payment, your payment information is collected and processed directly by Stripe. Select-Drive receives only limited transaction details (last four digits, billing address, payment status). Stripe's data practices are governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.

AI Chat Widget. Our AI assistant (Birdie) collects the messages you send during your chat session to provide responses and generate quotes. Chat data is processed by Anthropic's API.

Automated Email System. We use Resend as our email delivery service for transactional and follow-up communications. Resend processes your email address and message content on our behalf. Resend's data practices are governed by the Resend Privacy Policy.

Google Analytics. This website uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymous information about how visitors use the site. Google Analytics may collect data such as pages visited, time spent on pages, browser type, device type, and general geographic location (at the city or region level). This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Google's data practices are governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

3. Cookies

This website uses the following cookies and local storage:

  • Google Analytics (GA4): Sets cookies (e.g., _ga, _ga_*) to distinguish unique visitors and track site usage. These cookies expire after 2 years.
  • Stripe: May set session cookies during the payment checkout process to maintain your payment session and prevent fraud.
  • Language preference: We use browser localStorage to remember your language preference on this website. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

We do not use cookies for advertising, retargeting, or behavioral tracking beyond what is described above.

4. How We Use Your Information

Information we collect is used to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide service quotes
  • Process deposits and payments for transport services
  • Provide AI-assisted quotes and service information via our chat assistant
  • Send transactional emails related to your booking or inquiry (confirmations, updates, receipts)
  • Follow up on service inquiries through our CRM system
  • Improve our website and services based on aggregated usage data

5. Marketing Communications

We may send follow-up emails related to your inquiry or service engagement. These communications are CAN-SPAM compliant. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any email or contacting us directly. We will honor all opt-out requests promptly.

6. We Do Not Sell Your Information

Select-Drive and Select-Drive LLC do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties for commercial purposes. Period.

7. How We Share Your Information

We do not share your personal information with third parties except as described below:

  • Netlify -- receives and stores form submissions as our hosting and forms platform.
  • Google Analytics -- receives anonymized, aggregated website usage data.
  • Stripe -- processes payment transactions. Stripe receives your payment information directly during checkout. Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified.
  • Anthropic -- processes AI chat conversations through their API to power our Birdie assistant. No personally identifiable information (PII) is intentionally sent to Anthropic; chat messages are processed for response generation only.
  • Resend -- delivers transactional and follow-up emails on our behalf. Resend receives your email address and message content.
  • Legal requirements -- we may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal process.

8. Data Retention

  • Contact form submissions: Retained for as long as reasonably necessary for business purposes, including responding to inquiries and maintaining records of service engagements.
  • Stripe payment data: Retained by Stripe in accordance with Stripe's data retention policy and applicable financial regulations.
  • AI chat logs: Retained for 90 days, then permanently deleted.
  • Email records: Retained for 3 years for CAN-SPAM compliance and business record-keeping purposes.
  • Google Analytics data: Retained according to Google's standard retention settings, which we have configured to 14 months.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information:

  • Payment data is encrypted and processed by Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 compliant. Select-Drive never has access to your full credit card number.
  • AI chat conversations are encrypted in transit between your browser and our servers.
  • Form submissions are stored securely by Netlify using their platform security measures.
  • Email communications are transmitted via Resend's encrypted delivery infrastructure.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted to or stored through this website.
