$150 ground return for routes under 500 miles. $250 return flight for 500+ mile routes. Dan's trip home is always a separate line, never hidden in your rate.

How is the price calculated?
Pricing is based on actual driving distance using Google Maps routing. The base rate is $0.75 per mile, covering Dan's professional service and operating costs. On top of that we add fuel (~$0.18/mi), tolls (~$0.02/mi average), lodging ($120/night for multi-day routes), an 8% insurance surcharge, and Dan's return travel home. The $500 minimum applies to all trips. Pilot, our AI assistant, builds a full line-item breakdown instantly when you share your route.
What does Dan's return travel fee cover?
After delivering your vehicle, Dan needs to get home. For routes under 500 miles, we add a flat $150 return fee covering ground transport. For routes 500 miles or longer, we book Dan a return flight, adding $250 to the total. This cost is always broken out as its own line in your quote, never buried in the rate.
When do I pay, and is there a deposit?
We collect a 25% deposit when you confirm your booking. The remaining balance is due on delivery. Payments are processed securely via Stripe. You receive a full receipt and booking confirmation immediately after each payment.
Does the price change for an express booking?
Express service carries a 5% surcharge on top of the standard quote. Express applies to bookings under 3 days notice, while standard service is available with 3 or more days advance notice. Dan drives personally on all bookings, the small premium covers priority scheduling and route positioning.
